Nautical Academics

Captain Mike is a certified Coast Guard Instructor/Examiner and teaches the OUPV course and Master’s course including the towing endorsement in the Chicago area for Nautical Academics, a Coast guard recognized training school.  Many recent classes were held at the College of DuPage in Glen Ellyn, but more will be scheduled in the area.  If you are interested in obtaining your captain’s license, this is the way to go.  Classes run for three consecutive weekends and cover 56 hours of training in Rules of the Road, Safety, Charting, Boat Handling, Marlinspike, Navigation, and more.  The course includes the Coast Guard approved test and satisfies the requirements for licensure.
